Thank you for choosing to stay at Elvey Farm Kent in the garden of England.

By making a booking to stay with us you are entering a legal contract that is subject to the following terms and conditions:

Room information

The names previously given to the suites have been retained and all five are named after Kentish towns. They have king-size beds (5ft 6in wide by 6ft 6in long / 168cm by 200cm) made up of 100% crisp cotton sheets, hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows. In all of our suites, which have been recently refurbished there is an under-counter refrigerator to keep your freshly supplied milk, apple juice and bottled water chilled. Essential too if you bring your own food and drink. Our guests have a kettle and choice of premium quality tea and coffee, with decaffeinated options and assorted fruit and herbal teas, plus biscuits to nibble on. Our suites are supplied with a large flat-screen smart TV, hairdryer, hand torch, glass tumblers, bottle opener, shoehorn, wifi and USB sockets. Pamper yourself in your en-suite bathroom with our gentle on the skin toiletries and super soft bath sheets. We also offer complimentary use of an iron and ironing board for our guests. Bath robes, an iron and ironing board available on request. You are provided with your own labelled key fob with a key for access into your suite for the duration of your stay. If lost, not handed back on departure or not sent back (by registered delivery) within a reasonable timescale you will be asked to pay £50.00 towards the replacement cost. There is a 7.2 Kw electric car charging point available for guests (subject to an hourly charge rate, which will depend on the electric supply costs at the time of use).

Prices

Our prices indicated on our website are per suite (single or double occupancy) and include an in suite continental breakfast (found in your room on arrival) and VAT.

Arrival and departure times

Arrival: Check-in time on your first day is after 3pm unless otherwise pre-arranged. If you expect to arrive after 7pm, please inform us in advance.

Departure: We request that you vacate your room by 10.30am to allow us time to prepare for our next guests unless otherwise pre-arranged.

Wheelchair users

We are very sorry to say that Elvey Farm Kent is a historic property and is therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.

Dogs and Pets

Very regrettably, no dogs or pets are allowed at Elvey Farm other than certified service dogs.

Non Smoking

We have a no smoking policy in all of our rooms.

Making a booking

A £50.00 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance payment is due 14 days prior to arrival. This will be requested by email and payable via an online link.

covid-19 statement

The cleanliness of our property is paramount to us and we have integrated the processes and products necessary to ensure we are adhering to Government guidelines.

Each suite has a deep clean in between occupancies and care is given to sanitise high traffic areas. All linen, bedding and towels are laundered professionally by Iron Maids in between stays. Covid-19 Safety at Iron Maids: Always wearing gloves, cleaning every workstation between customers and use of antibacterial cleansers in all laundry.

Hand sanitiser is provided in the suites, please follow the government guidelines for handwashing. Guests are required to empty the fridge and ensure that any waste is in the bins provided prior to departure.

If during a stay, any person starts to show symptoms of Coronavirus, they must inform us immediately and the appropriate steps will be taken. Please see the Government website for the main symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Cancellation, curtailment and postponement

We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract and that cancellations cause loss to small establishments. We advise that booking a stay you ensure that you have the relevant and proper insurance in place.

Cancellation

Full payment is required at the time of booking, a refund would be offered on cancellation under the following terms. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room.

Our cancellation policy:

Cancel 14 days before your stay and you will receive a full refund. Cancellations made up 7 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund. We reserve the right to charge the full amount due in the event of late cancellation within 7 days (before noon) of the day of your arrival where we are unable to re-let the room(s).

Curtailment

If you have to curtail your booking in advance of, or during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room for the days that you cannot stay. If we cannot re-let the room, then you will still be liable for any days that the room is not re-let. If we are able to re-let the room for part of your remaining booking, then you will only be liable for any days that the room is not re-let.

Non-arrivals

Should you fail to arrive without letting us know, you are liable for the full balance of your stay.

Third-Party Bookings

If the person paying for the booking is different to the person taking up the occupation, the person who pays for the booking will also be held responsible for cancellation, curtailment or non-arrival fees as well as damage or loss, and appropriate charges will be taken from their payment method.

Postponements

If you need to postpone your booking, please give us as much notice as possible and at least 14 days prior to your arrival so that we can try to re-let the room. We will be happy under most circumstances to transfer your full booking amount to a new booking.

Non-availability of accommodation

We would only cancel your booking if your room was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

During your stay

Our aim is to offer all our guests a relaxing and tranquil stay and we kindly ask guests to respect the quiet enjoyment and relaxation of other guests.

Visitors to rooms: Guests are not permitted to have visitors to their rooms without our prior agreement.

Accidents happen: Please let us know immediately of any damage or spillage so that we can attempt a speedy repair or clean. Spillages are more easily rectified the sooner they are dealt with. Any significant breakage or damage may result in a charge for replacement, repair or specialist cleaning. If the damage means the room cannot be made available in good time for the next arriving guests, you may also be liable for our loss of income.

Missing / Lost items: Any item taken from the rooms without our consent will be charged for. Lost keys, or keys not returned, will incur a £50 charge.

Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
